Manufacturing Facility Expansion

As part of the US government’s Operation Warp Speed program, NewAge ramped up production of their medical-grade disposable tubing to meet spiking drug and vaccine manufacturing needs.

Genesis renovated their 49,000 SF site which serves as an extension of their main manufacturing facility. Designed for the manufacturing of single-use thermoplastic tubing products, we designed and constructed an 18,000 SF area with seven ISO 7 cleanrooms that use HEPA filtration to maintain air cleanliness levels at a maximum of 10,000 particles per cubit foot. Our work, which included warehousing and support spaces, helped maximize their workflows and increased their operational efficiencies.

This project kicked off amidst the throes of the global pandemic when material lead times and contractor availability was unpredictable at best. Yet, our team managed to design and build the facility in an expedited timeframe of 18 months. Another layer of complexity our team overcame were the challenges inherent in renovating a former warehouse built in the late 1980s with aging electrical infrastructure which required extensive upgrades.
